The weather is starting to cool down quickly and there's plenty of beach days in your future. Beach days are awesome but you know what will make it even more awesome? Bringing your dog, duh! I created a list of the top 10 best beaches from closest to farthest near Orlando. Feast your eyes and get those flip flops ready! Time for a beach trip:

Smyrna Dunes Park

This is probably the most popular dog friendly beach near Orlando so it will also be the most crowded. Dogs are required to be on leash. They have awesome pet washing stations to clean off those sandy paws and they have plenty of poop bag stations. Score!

Canova Beach Dog Park

Although this section of the beach is just for dogs, dogs are still required to be leashed at all times. The park is kind enough to provide dog wash stations so you don't have to spend a fortune at a car wash the following day. There's also lots of poop bag stations in case you forget to bring bags.

The dog friendly area of Flagler beach is located north of 10th Street and south of 10th Street only. You will be able to find parking off of A1A on any side street. Although you may see plenty of off leash dogs at this beach, the beach requires dogs to be on a leash 8 feet or shorter. There are no poop bag stations so make sure to bring plenty.

Davis Island Dog Beach

Dogs can be off-leash at this park! Duh. It's a dog beach. There's a grassy area in case your dog doesn't feel like going for a swim. If they do, there's a spot that opens out to the beach and is dog friendly. It is about 200 feet. There are wash areas and poop bag stations.

Picnic Island Beach Dog Park

Dogs are allowed totally off-leash here! Be cautious though since it is not fully fenced in. Bring some good shoes; the sandy area can be a little rocky. I recommend bringing little booties for your dog as well to protect against any rocks.

Key Biscayne Dog Beach

This place is a little drive away but it's worth it! The beach is kept very clean and there's plenty of trash cans everywhere. There's a vendor that rents out paddle boards and kayaks so you and your dog can paddleboard and kayak in the ocean together. There's even a hotdog stand after your ocean workout! Sounds like the pawfect day to me.
